It’s Hope Day!
Our Hope for this day and every day is wellness – that you are well physically, mentally, spiritually, every-ally!
Sooo we’re coming at ya with a wellness PSA. You already know we are servants, called to honor God by serving you. Our mission is to equip and empower you to live with passion and purpose every single day. Passion and purpose are hard to come by if you’re worn-out, if you’re soul-weary, mind-weary or body-weary. It’s time to remind you, Pure Grace is a Wellness company – Health and Wellness in all areas of your life through the prism of Christ!
WUT? Yep, it’s true. God wants us well, in our relationships, our physical being, our mind, our finances, all of it.
Wellness is defined as the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.
Via the National Wellness Organization:
The term wellness has been applied in many ways. Although there might be different views on what wellness encompasses, the National Wellness Institute–along with the help of leaders in health and wellness–shared many interpretations and models of wellness.
Through this discussion, there appears to be general agreement that:
- Wellness is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential
- Wellness is multidimensional and holistic, encompassing lifestyle, mental and spiritual well-being, and the environment
- Wellness is positive and affirming
The definition of wellness, long used by the National Wellness Institute is consistent with these tenets. Wellness is an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence.
Life on Purpose looks like the pursuit of wellness Body.Mind.Soul to honor and serve God. Healthy bodies please God – he can use us as literal hands and feet. Healthy minds please God – we can be examples of gratitude of when set our minds and keep them set. Healthy souls (aka scandalous faith) please God – He can use us for any and every mission. Check out these scriptures – health, wellness and peace. Why peace? Because when peace does not reign, stress, strife, anxiety and hopelessness do.
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. – 3 John 1:2 NIV
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well&prospers. 3 John 1:2 AMPC
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. – Proverbs 3:5-8 NIV
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart andmind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones. – Proverbs 3:5-8 AMPC
Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. – Colossians 3:15-17 MSG
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence andwisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts. And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him. – Colossians 3:15-17 AMPC
