Hey Friends – We are still re-posting our superb transformation series♥
Have you thought about sharing this with someone you know?
It’s what Life on Purpose and love looks like…
Transformation: Your Soul Purpose
Another Transformation Tuesday already? Say it ain’t so! Time sure flies – whether we’re having fun or not.
Might as well embrace every moment, enjoy your life, feed your soul.
This is the forth installment in our Body.Mind.Soul Transformation series.
Your Soul Purpose.
Soul – what does this word mean to you?
Here at Pure Grace we say Body.Mind.Soul a lot. For us it’s the whole package, all of you. Your outer being, your brains and your inner being.
Strictly speaking our use of soul encompasses more than faith. Feeding your soul is first spending time in the presence of God, worshiping, praying, reading His word, but it is also serving others, reading a favorite book, watching a movie with your best friend, soaking up sunshine or going for a run. Feeding your soul is self-care at it’s finest.
My guess is your soul is hungry some of the time, if not most of the time.
What would soul transformation even look like for you?
To answer this we have to go back to day one and our thoughts – the things we are.
You are worthy of set apart time with your Creator. He made you, He desires alone time with just you.
You are deserving of time to just be. Meditate, pray, sing, walk, breathe. You are deserving, feed your soul.
You are special, one of a kind, needing _________ to feel fed in your soul. Find it, keep it.
Beauty is all around you and inside you – where will you seek beauty to fill your soul to overflowing?
Loved people, love people. You are loved, your soul flourishes because you know this to be true. You read it in God’s word. You trust that Jesus came for You.
Chosen. This is you. You have a specific purpose. If you don’t make the time and take the time to feed your soul, to care for yourself, your purpose will elude you. You will be soul weary, bone tired and of no good use.
Transformation begins this very moment. Life on Purpose is right now. Your best life, filled to the brim with passion, intention, direction, joy and hope.
Commit to love yourself enough to feed your soul.
Start here with these scriptures:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16 KJV
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8 ESV
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16 ESV
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:28-30 ESV
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9 ESV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6–8 NIV
The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.
– Zephaniah 3:17 AMPC
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10 ESV
Now ask yourself these questions:
1. When am I most relaxed?
2. When am I most at peace?
3. When am I truly joyful?
4. When do I give love freely?
5. When am I most content?
This is where self-care and your soul intersect. When you identify the places and times, you see how to feed your soul.
First we seek God, read His word, spend time with him in prayer.
Then we seek our moments of contentment to multiply them.
This is how we begin our soul transformation…
Your mission is the 1,2,3 and 4:
1. Remember – You Are.
2. Soul food looks like time with God.
3. Soul food also looks like self-care.
