pure grace, perfection, hope, Jesus, life on purpose, faith, fitness, simple, easy

Look at any magazine rack and you will see this type of IT’S SO EASY headline:
From FAT to FAB in 3 easy steps
Flats abs in 3 simple moves
Have the body you’ve always wanted in 7 mins a day

If you have ever tried to change your body you know there is nothing easy about it and yet lots of us, me included, pick up those magazines and flip right to the quick fix.
We should and do know anything worth having is worth working for and usually takes some work.
Even though we think we want quick and easy, when we get it, it’s NOT. It’s not enough or what we thought or what we wanted or what we needed. Think cheap fast food – yuck.

If you want to change your body it will take dedication. It will require changing habits and creating new ones, healthier ones.

Side note – I’m the kind of girl that wants it all. I like simple. Easy can be a good thing in moderation, BUT hard work makes me feel good too.

You know what is quick and easy but will take dedication, life-long habits & constant attention?
Your relationship with Jesus.
Wait a minute – Quick and Easy?

Let me clarify the quick and easy part – choosing Jesus, it only takes a second. Decide you want a relationship. Decide there is so much more to life than the hamster wheel existence, the worry, the living up to or down to other people’s standards.

Now the quick and easy part is over BUT remember anything worth having is worth working for.  Cultivating the relationship is the very best part. It’s where you start seeing the changes in yourself, in your words, in your thoughts. It’s where you start making healthier choices, making mistakes and making more mistakes and then making better decisions. It where you start living Life on Purpose.

All things are legitimate [permissible—and we are free to do anything we please], but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable, and wholesome). All things are legitimate, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life]. – 1 Corinthians 10:23 AMPC

It’s where you realize God has this crazy, crazy, crazy love for you.

It’s where I REALIZED I needed to share God’s CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY love with others. It’s where I realized honoring God was the one thing I wanted to be really, really, really good at. The one thing I wanted to do with every fiber of my being.

News flash for believers or those of you on the road to being one: God never promises everything will go smoothly, never promises you’ll get things right on the very first try, every time or any time, never promises an amazing relationship in 5 minutes a day.

What He does promise is to hold your hand and heart forever. To constantly walk beside you, to carry you when necessary – through the good and the rough, through the 3rd and 4th tries, through the chaos and the very messy. He promises to love you like you have never, ever been loved before.

WAIT – He already does.

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized (**YOU** )the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. – John 3:16 (AMP)

Have you decided YET? Don’t be afraid and don’t think once you have decided you need to go it alone.

For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them. – Matthew 18:20 AMPC

Start surrounding yourself with folks who not only know Jesus but do their best to honor him. Like us, Pure Grace. It’s what we do – equip, empower, encourage, coach, teach, mentor.  Surround yourself with folks who will cheer you on.  Encourage you. Help you up when you stumble.  Still sounds like us♥

When you see how they live, how they handle the good and the bad and the in between, you will crave that thing they have. You will start to seek it. You’ll find it in those set apart, alone times with HIM. The times where you get to know Him like He already knows you.

Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:13 AMPC

Dear God,
I want a life worth living, a life where the simple is mixed in with the messy, a life honoring you.
I need you. I pick you. I’m uncertain. I’m ashamed and I’m afraid. I make mistakes. I fall down a lot. I’m perfect for you.
Thank you for loving me in spite of me. AMEN

So what’s the 1,2,3 and 4?

  1. God loves you
  2. God picks you
  3. Forever
  4. Simple and easy

Peace and Love friends!
