But first, why am I talking about movement? Because Body, Mind, Soul Fitness!

I know, sometimes the word “exercise” sounds to much like work and not enough like fun.
So for those of you who don’t love to exercise YET, let’s look at just gettin’ that booty movin’!

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. – Romans 12:1 NIV

Come on now. (Said in my best preacher voice) Exercise/movement is not a punishment, it’s a celebration of what your body can do. You are gloriously created, a living sacrifice. Being able to move is a gift.

What is movement?

It’s any activity that’s fun for you and gets your body moving!
Your body is made to move.
Movement is actually a type of fuel for your body, just like food.
It stimulates and generates energy and good moods, plus it’s a fun way to get outside (when temps permit) and connect with other folks and your family and neighbors and you get the idea.

How do I choose my movement activity and add it to my day?

What movement did you love to do as a kid? Roller skating? Hula hooping?
Choose a type of movement that you loved but don’t seem to do anymore – you’ll feel like a kid again!
Add this movement to your day by starting with a regular 10 minute appointment – for you the might be first thing in the morning, or at lunch, or after work.

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), [a]recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. – Ephesians 2:10 AMPC
