Why am I always talking about boosting productivity? Life on Purpose ring any bells?

Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:7 AMPC

What exactly is gratitude?

The word gratitude is derived from the Latin word gratia, which means grace, graciousness, or gratefulness (depending on the context). In some ways gratitude encompasses all of these meanings. Gratitude is a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. With gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives. In the process, people usually recognize that the source of that goodness lies at least partially outside themselves. As a result, gratitude also helps people connect to something larger than themselves as individuals — whether to other people, nature, or a higher power. via Harvard Health Publishing

How do I increase my productivity with gratitude?
A Gratitude Practice

If we want to feel gratitude, we first must think gratitude. For some of us it may take some practice. It’s all good. God meets us where we are at so lets get started. I challenge you to be grateful tomorrow, make it the very first thing you do. Before you climb out of bed, before you brush your teeth, before coffee. Maybe even before your eyes are fully opened. Embody gratitude.

We ask him to strengthen you by his glorious might with all the power you need to patiently endure everything with joy. You will also thank the Father, who has made you able to share the light, which is what God’s people inherit. Colossians 1:11-12 GW

What can we be grateful about? Umm, everything!

  • A good nights sleep
  • A new day
  • A warm bed
  • Another chance to serve
  • The coffee that you’ll be having soon
  • The sunrise
