Hey Gorgeous! Hope you enjoy this re-post (with a few edits) from a time long ago. Be on the look-out for an opportunity to exercise, for real, like with sweat and everything, in person with Pure Grace. Self-care is non-negotiable because you deserve it.
Does this conjure up images of big muscle-headed, sweaty guys? Or super annoying skinny aerobics instructors shouting “no pain, no gain?” While I do believe physical exercise is important and something that should be a habit, spiritual exercise is just as important, can be just as difficult and is definitely just as rewarding♥
This morning I was reading a devotional -“Sparkling Gems from the Greek” – It was about this very topic (pretty much). It got me thinking – #1 I haven’t blogged in way too long as is the case today and #2 I need to share it and my thoughts♥
Maybe everything is great in your life right now – awesome! Thank God for it everyday. It’s easy to be grateful in the good times, but what about those not so good times? If you are in a situation right now that’s bringing you down – exercise your spiritual muscles – change the way you are looking at it.
Perspective IS A BEAUTIFUL THING.
Exercise your faith in a GOD who loves you unconditionally.
Trust Him to deliver you or guide you through the tough times. Trust when you hear the Holy Spirit speaking to you.
The only thing that stays the same yesterday, today and forever is God. The rest, aah well.
That means we don’t ever have to stay depressed and defeated by what life throws at us. We can choose to change the way we look at our challenges. Bonus – the bible has really cool words to help us along.
But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what GOD is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously. – Micah 6:8 (MSG)
I love this scripture – especially this translation. So many times we DO take ourselves too seriously. Thankfully the answer is pretty clear – “Do the right thing, have a good heart & know that God is IT”
What’s that cliche clad quote?
“You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.”
Perspective is a beautiful thing.
You know the drill, we need a 1,2,3 and 4:
#1 Exercise is for your body, mind and soul
#2 Exercise your determination and faith
#3 Exercise your power to change
Peace and love and good vibes,
