Here we are, another Tuesday, another opportunity to look at transformation.
This is the second installment in our Body.Mind.Soul Transformation series.
If you missed the first one be sure to check it out here.
So, how’s it going? How’s the thought transformation coming along? I know you have your “You Are” list handy, memorized-ish and even growing daily. For reminder sake: You are set apart, with a brand new heart, one of the redeemed. (Thank you Mercy Me).
Guess what, transformation takes time and effort. A lot of effort. Effort like camping out in our minds for a while longer.
Here is what I’ve noticed since sharing last week’s post. My thoughts have been running rampant and not in a good way. We keep it real here at Pure Grace. I believe the more we dig in for change, the more opposition comes our way. Call it the enemy, call it the universe, call it what you what. All I can tell you is it has been more difficult this past week to keep my thoughts on the straight and narrow than it has been for a very long time. It’s just like when you tell yourself you are going to stop comparing your body to others and you go to the beach. Or you (insert your thing here) and then you get put to the test. These times really make us put our money where our mouth is.
What about you? Did you notice obstacles coming at you? Situations that really tested you? We want to hear from you.
Keep at it. This transformation business is completely worth the effort plus, Life on Purpose looks like transformation, so there’s that 🙂
We are in this together. Irina and I are praying for you.
Transformation - You are not…
I’ve been thinking, everyone is not like me - duh. I knew that, what I mean is the bright side is where I live but you might not. I am an optimist, you might not be. I want to talk to you, your brain, right now. Having purposeful positive thoughts like “I am strong” may feel foreign and even not true. Destination is not the end all be all, you are working toward being stronger. How about thoughts like “I am on my way. I am getting stronger”. This speaks to wherever we are on our journey. The first step or the one hundredth step. You are getting stronger, more confident.
If that is still not far enough away from the bright side, it’s okay. You do you. You be you.
Maybe you would agree with thoughts like:
I am less cranky.
I am less judgemental.
I am not as down on myself as I was yesterday.
Even though I’m not where I want to be, at least I’m not where I was.
We are works in progress.
Think it, however your brain processes the fact that you are transforming, process it, because you are able. You are making progress. Yeah you.
Hmmm. What do you think? Do you know someone who needs to hear this? Share it, tweet it, post it, pin it, gram it. Just do it. Remember you are the thermostat, you set the temperature.
Leaving you with the 1,2,3 and 4 of becoming less or more…
#1 Transformation is worth the effort.
#2 It won’t be easy.
#3 Be or become, whatever works for you.
#4 Keep at it, we’ve got your back.
