Hope Day and the Hope Filled Wait
Hope is always chasing me around. This verse is a beautiful reminder to not only hope but stay hope filled in our waiting.
It is good that one should hope in and wait quietly for the salvation (the safety and ease) of the Lord. - Lamentations 3:26
It may sound crazy but our Savior, He is always right on time. Reminding me exactly when I need it.
As I spent some time in prayer the other morning, I used the word ease. I asked for ease in a current situation. I know, its a wimpy way out BUT you never know unless you ask, right? I asked and the next thing I knew this verse from Lamentations was staring me in the face. The safety and ease of the Lord. Ease like breathing, like watching rain or snow fall softly. Ease like snuggling a freshly bathed baby. Ease like, well, you tell me. Better yet, tell Him. Ask Him, thank Him. Jump up and down for Him.
Hope and safety and ease. Wait for it, wait for it...
Hope is not passive. Don't kid yourself. Ease doesn't always mean easy. While you are hoping, share some of that hope. Be some of that hope.
Ease and hope and waiting, let's do it together. We set the temperature. We are the thermostats. Together we can set the world on fire with Hope. We can wait hope filled.
