Faithful Fridays are about diggin' a little deeper into the word...
I cheated today and used a near and dear scripture. It's Pure Grace's all the time theme verse.
Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in it's various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 NIV
God’s gifts of grace come in many forms. Each of you has received a gift in order to serve others. You should use it faithfully. 1 Peter 4:10 NIRV
Each of you as a good manager must use the gift that God has given you to serve others. 1 Peter 4:10 GW
As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the [a]extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor]. 1 Peter 4:10 AMPC
You have grace filled gifts. They come straight from your heavenly Father, just because He loves. They are yours to manage, to use. Are you using them like God expects?
What are your gifts? You have more than you might think. You have secret ones you didn't even know were gifts.
Irina has the gift of infinite patience with her children. Patience like I have never seen. She is the picture of peace. This is a gift. Straight from God. She uses it to serve.
I am gifted with giving the benefit of the doubt. Over and over and over until I'm done. This is a gift. Straight from God. I serve God by giving it to others.
Some are gifted with frugal-ness, they get stores to give them money when they shop. Some have the gift of peacemaking. They know when to be quiet and when to usher in peace. Some are very talented bakers or cooks, not me - we know.
My oldest daughter Meredith has the baking gift as well as the make you feel important gift. She can keep a conversation going, learning about the other person, making them feel good when they share. This is a gift. Straight from God. She uses it daily, she is a servant.
Gifts come in many shapes and sizes. Sharing them to serve others is the most important part.
Again I ask, what are your gifts? List them. How are you using them to serve and help? Are you honoring God with them? Now would be a great time to start!
