Transformation Tuesday looks like deciding to make one change, taking a few steps and committing.
This day finds us sharing our 2018 theme verse again:
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. - Philippians 4:8 (ESV)
And encouraging you to think on it as you implement one change today. Wut? Okay like this - Today I'm deciding to transform my attitude when it comes to: taking better care of myself or sticking to a budget or shutting my mouth when needed or being a better listener or having intentional set apart time with God or...
Taking better care of myself is worthy of praise. I am created in the image of God, being built as a dwelling place - this is true and honorable.
Sticking to a budget is commendable and excellent. When I control my money I can rest from worry. When I decide to put getting out of debt in front of instant gratification it is worthy of praise and just and pure.
Shutting my mouth is def worthy of praise! Not saying unkind, hurtful things is just and pure. Keeping my know it all opinion to myself is lovely and commendable. Listen loves, I know, I do it myself - keeping it real here.
Being a better listener is totally excellent. Being present in a conversation is true and just. It honors God and the person you're speaking with. Simple & praise worthy BUT not easy. Side note: I saw an awesome Ted Talk this morning - 10 ways to have a better conversation.
Having intentional set apart time with God - duh, all of the above and yet we don't do it.
It is time to Trust.Seek.Pray.Decide.Act and Transform - what one thing/area will you start changing today?
I'm committing to being a better listener (listen to the Ted Talk).
Pure Grace is always committed to growing, changing and transforming our faith and how we serve you.
You are number around here, well you and God♥ Nice company to be in!
