Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake...Israelites, Neon Signs and Life on Purpose was blog post #200.
Wow - two hundred shares of my heart, sorrows, celebrations, dreams, hopes and prayers. Two hundred times I hoped in faith to connect with one or some or all of you. To let you know how loved you are. How cherished. How important. It has been a fantastic five years and the next five will be even better. How do I know?
I trust in an amazing God. I seek His presence first, crave it as a necessity for my soul. I pray, pray, pray and oh, I pray. I decide - I'm not sitting on the sidelines of life. I'm not being offended by the blowing wind. I'm the thermometer, I set the temperature. I act...sometimes a fool! It's real. I mess up. But then I act to make it right. I own it. I embrace. I act like Jesus' hands and feet in the world. I act, I show love through my words and actions.
This is a community of love and faith and trust and forgiveness and hope and laughter and real people and messes and family.
And taking chances.
You were pretty much the first to hear about Pure Grace, LLC - the brand new company I co-founded with this beautiful woman. You will continue to be in the know as we get set for an official launch and all the amazingness that goes along with said launch.
We are just like you or your sister, aunt, mom, daughter, granddaughter. We are silly, we are serious, we are worshipers, we are lovers of life and people and God. We are runners and coffee drinkers, we are makers of music and cookies, we are friends. We want to live Life on Purpose and we have seen how great the need is to share this message, to share how Life on Purpose starts when we Trust.Seek.Pray.Decide.Act.
Life on purpose looks different and eerily similar for all of us.
It looks like work - a job, a caretaker, a homemaker, a wife, a worship leader, a teacher, a blogger...
It looks like celebrating small victories - made the bed, lost five pounds, read a book to my child, forgave again, ran farther than before, balanced the checkbook, learned something new, didn't burn dinner...
It looks like trust - in God, in our own worthiness, in our dearest Godly friends...
It looks like family - big and small, adopted, born into, crazy, loud, not-so-nice all the time...
It looks like taking care of ourselves body.mind.soul - healthier eating, better choices, tuning out the negative, embracing our best lives and those who want that for us...
Life on Purpose looks like intentional steps into your best life. Love, faith, hope and peace.
I pray you will join us for the next five years. I pray you will share this community with the beautiful people in your life who could use more Jesus and more purpose.
