I recently attended the Joyce Meyer Women's Conference with the the same closest friend who did not help me name this blog 🙂 Joyce is a Christian Preacher with a world wide ministry. She is super down-to-earth & even a little rough around the edges. That is why I connect so much with her and the way she teaches. If this is a foreign concept think seminar for work, but you want to attend & not just to get out of the office. Add in additional headline speakers (John Maxwell for one) and tons of amazing music (like Natalie Grant). Plus 17,000 women! Get the picture? We laughed & laughed. We cried some - because there is great lack in the world & because sometimes it felt like they were talking just to you. One of Joyce's quotes really struck me "Giving should not be something we do when a preacher talks us out of a few bucks. Giving should be a lifestyle". AMEN....Just to be clear giving doesn't always mean money. Give.....someone your smile. Give ...a hug. Give...someone a break. Give....someone the benefit of the doubt. Give...your time to someone or something. Give...your heart. Give....with everything that you've got. Give....your money - it makes the world go 'round! Give...because you have something to share. Give...yourself time to heal. The list could go on and on.
I'll leave you again with some song lyrics. Music really speaks to me.....
Supertramp - Give a little bit
Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
Give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my love to you
There's so much that we need to share
So send a smile and show you care
I'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my life for you
So give a little bit
Oh give a little bit of your time to me
See the man with the lonely eyes
Oh take his hand, you'll be surprised
What's your Give...?
